Hokuroku Orthodox Church"Theotokos Evangelical Church"
秋田県で唯一の会堂で米代川沿いの田園地帯にある。
1892年（明治25）建立の木造ビザンチン様式の会堂としては日本最古のもので
明治時代の洋風建築として文化的価値が認められました。
It is the only congregation hall in Akita Prefecture
and is located in a rural area along the Yoneshiro River.
It is the oldest wooden Byzantine-style congregation hall in Japan,
built in 1892 (25th year of Meiji), and
It was recognized for its cultural value as a Western-style building of the Meiji era.

今般のロシアによるウクライナの侵攻について、私たちは、いかなる理由があったとしても、軍事力による暴力と侵略を支持しません。
またウクライナもロシアも、国民の多数が正教を信仰する国であり、同じ信仰を持つ者としてこの戦争のもたらす苦しみに心を痛めています。
一刻も早くこの侵攻が終わり、平和と安定が回復するよう痛切に祈ります。
Regarding the recent Russian invasion of Ukraine,
we do not support violence and aggression by military force for any reason.
Both Ukraine and Russia are countries where the majority of the population is Orthodox, and as people of the same faith, we are deeply concerned about the suffering caused by this war.
We pray that this aggression will end as soon as possible and that peace and stability will be restored.
