生神女庇護祭

かつて東ローマ帝国の首都コンスタンティノープルが異国の軍隊に攻め込まれ包囲されてしまった時、オモフォル（主教が肩に巻く祭服）を持った生神女の姿が聖堂に現れたことを記憶します。

イコンには最初に生神女の姿を認めた佯狂者アンドレイ、生神女を讃える聖歌を作ったロマンも共に描かれます。
